About the Ballpark

General Information

Smith’s Ballpark is now a multi-use community venue managed by Cornerstone, on behalf of the CRA.

The Ballpark hosts a wide range of events, including:

  • Concerts and festivals

  • Community celebrations and gatherings

  • Corporate functions and private parties

With seating for up to 14,000 guests in the main bowl, plus flexible space in suites, concourses, the club level, and the outfield lawn, the Ballpark is designed to accommodate events of all sizes.

The Ballpark is open year-round. Due to the large amount of event space located outdoors, most public events occur between May and September.

Venue Rentals

Where is the Ballpark located?

The Ballpark is located at 77 West 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84115.

What accessibility features are available?

Smith’s Ballpark is fully ADA compliant, with accessible seating, ramps, elevators, restrooms, and designated parking/drop-off zones.

Is parking available at the venue?

Parking is available at the Ballpark. Fees vary depending on the size and nature of the event. Parking details are typically included in each event listing.

Attendees are encouraged to use public transit whenever possible to reduce traffic and facilitate access. The Ballpark TRAX Station, conveniently located just northwest of the venue, provides direct access.

What are the hours of operation? When do gates open?

Gates usually open at the designated start time or about one hour before a showtime, though this may vary by event. For the most accurate information, please check the event calendar. Each event listing includes current gate and start times, which will be updated if any changes occur.

Staff are on-site daily and available by appointment during regular business hours.

What if I have a noise complaint?

Standard event hours run from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Extended hours may be available upon request and may include additional fees. All events must comply with city and county noise ordinances and curfews.

If you have a noise concern related to an event, please contact during quiet hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.), call the Salt Lake City Police non-emergency number at 801-799-3000. 

What should I know about entry and security?

For everyone’s safety, security checks may be required upon entry. Specific bag policies or prohibited items will be noted in each event’s details.

What items are permitted within the venue?

Permitted Items

  • Bags (backpacks, diaper bags, etc.) – all bags are subject to search. Clear bags are not required, but bags must fit under your seat (if in fixed seating) and cannot block walkways.

  • Factory-sealed water bottles

  • Empty refillable bottles (thermos, Hydro Flasks, Stanleys, etc.) – refill stations are available inside the venue.

  • Umbrellas – allowed before the show, but must be taken down once the performance begins.
  • Small personal cameras (disposable, Polaroid, or point-and-shoot). Professional cameras are not allowed.

Non-Permitted Items

  • Smoking, vaping, or drugs

  • Professional/DSLR cameras, drones, or video/audio recording equipment

  • Computers, tablets, two-way radios

  • Selfie sticks, tripods, or monopods
  • Strollers, baby seats, and child carriers

  • Skateboards, Segways, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles, hoverboards and helmets

  • Frisbees, balls, or other potentially hazardous/disruptive items

  • Pets or animals (service animals trained for specific tasks, as defined by ADA, are permitted)

  • Outside food or beverages (except factory-sealed water bottles)

  • Glass containers

  • Wrapped or sealed packages

  • Open/unsealed beverages (e.g., fountain drinks, milkshakes, or opened bottles)

  • Weapons (unless expressly permitted by State law)

  • Any other items restricted by the event organizer or private party renting the Ballpark

What food and beverages are available?

Concessions and catering vary by event. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, beyond factory sealed water bottles.

Is alcohol available?

Alcohol is available at most events. Please keep the following guidelines in mind when attending events at the venue:

  • No outside alcohol is permitted. Bags and coolers will be checked upon entry.

  • Valid government-issued ID is required to purchase alcohol. Guests 21+ will receive a wristband for service.

  • All alcohol must remain inside the venue and may not be taken off-site.

What if we have tickets and can't make a show?

All ticket sales are final.

The resale of event tickets is not allowed on Ballpark property. Tickets not purchased from authorized outlets are not guaranteed to be authentic and will not be covered by the Ballpark.
Does my child need a ticket?

Children aged two and under may attend without a ticket if they do not require their own seat, unless otherwise specified. Tickets are required for all guests aged three and older.

Can I buy tickets the day of a show?

Yes, tickets may be purchased on the day of the show if inventory is still available.

Please note: event tickets often sell quickly, and availability (or seating location) is not guaranteed. When possible, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to secure your spot before they sell out.

Are pets allowed at the venue?

Only service animals trained to perform specific tasks, as defined by the ADA, are permitted inside the venue. Pets, emotional support animals, and other animals are not allowed unless explicitly noted in the event’s details.

Is smoking, vaping, or tobacco use permitted at the venue?

No. There are no designated smoking or vaping areas inside the Ballpark. Smoking, vaping, and chewing tobacco are not permitted anywhere within the venue gates
