Governing Body

The Board of Directors (Board) is comprised of the seven members of the City Council of Salt Lake City and has policy-making authority, while the Mayor serves as the Executive Director and has administrative power. The Reinvestment Advisory Committee (RAC) advises the Board on CRA policy and the Finance Committee provides recommendations on loan applications, tax increment reimbursement agreements, and land write-downs.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Mayor Erin Mendenhall, the CRA is guided by a vision of equitable growth, sustainability, and community-centered development. Her administration emphasizes strategic investment in housing, infrastructure, and neighborhood revitalization to build a more inclusive and resilient Salt Lake City.

Mayor Mendenhall is assisted by Director Danny Walz and Deputy Director Cara Lindsley.
